Real estate transactions in the Greater Lynchburg region over the past week revealed steady activity across the city and surrounding counties, with a mix of residential purchases and new development activity.
In the City of Lynchburg, the highest-priced transaction was the sale of 1424 Landon Court, bought by Jerry D. and Frances L. Padgett from D.S. Zechini Construction Inc. for $510,000. The transaction was represented by Blickenstaff & Company Realtors

Following that, a property on Wiggington Road sold for $399,900 to Peter D. and Theresa K. Blunt. Another notable sale was 6005 Sunderland Place, bought by Benjamin and Shawna Watter for $335,000. These transactions suggest continued interest in mid-to-high value residential properties in established neighborhoods.
In Bedford County, the top transaction was the sale of property off Fox Ridge Road. Dale H. Grigg Jr. and Ruth Ann Grigg, trustees, bought the property for $750,000. Another notable transaction occurred at 18317 Forest Road, where Graves Mill Storage sold a mini storage unit for $974,400. In residential sales, a property at 1015 Piedmont St. sold for $600,000 to Christopher Anthony Barnett Sr.,

and multiple homes in the Grandview and Oakwood Hills subdivisions exceeded $300,000. The volume of townhome sales in Westyn Village suggests a concentration of development and buyer interest in planned residential communities.
In Campbell County, the most expensive residential sale was at 77 Lake Forest Place, bought for $440,000 by Michel and Ginger Carrier. Another major transaction included multiple lots in Augusta Springs, sold by Luke 10:27 LLC to CRM Construction Inc. for $540,000. DMC Holdings LLC also bought property in the Village at Greenview for $398,000. Most sales in Campbell County ranged from $200,000 to $350,000, reflecting a consistent market for entry-level and mid-range housing.
In Amherst County, the highest recorded sale was Lot 32 in the Hans Hills Estates, sold for $440,000 to James I. Loyd Jr. and Angela H. Loyd. Other transactions of interest included a 14.984-acre parcel off VA 778, sold for $135,000, and a property at Five Forks Road, sold for $132,000. These numbers suggest moderate residential investment, with some interest in larger land parcels.
New construction and renovation activities stay strong, particularly in Bedford County. The most significant building permit was issued to Michael Potter for a new dwelling on Falling Creek Road valued at $1.273 million.

Matthew Tutino also received a permit for a $1.1 million home on Pierpoint Court.

Graves Mill Storage obtained a $974,400 permit for a mini storage unit, and Coleman Construction Company LLC was approved for a $639,900 dwelling in Autumn Run West. Additionally, Westyn Village LLC continued its development with multiple $300,000 permits for townhomes, showing ongoing growth in that subdivision.
The current real estate and building permit activity across Greater Lynchburg reflects a balanced mix of resale transactions and new development, with targeted investment in residential neighborhoods and multi-family housing. 2315 Link Rd
