Real estate transactions across the Greater Lynchburg region in recent weeks reflected a steady market with several high-value purchases in both urban and rural areas.
In the City of Lynchburg, the highest transaction was the sale of a home in Peakland Plan. Arthur G. and Judy B. Smith sold Lot 2, Block 3 to Ashley L. Smith for $653,000. Another notable transaction was the sale of 2600-2602 Langhorne Road and an additional parcel by Hicks Realty & Development LLC to Greatest Commandment Properties LLC for $455,000. Rounding out the top three was the sale of 118 Cornerstone Street at Lucid Lynchburg Holding Company LLC to T5 Properties LLC for $370,000.

In Amherst County, the most expensive transaction was the sale of 45 Patrick Court for $349,000 from Jean Capital LLC to James R. and Brenda Knill and Lindsay Adams. This was followed by the $327,350 sale of Lot 50 in Kent Farm from Good Investments LLC to Clay Sumpter and Kathryn Crowder. A third significant transaction was the $285,000 sale of 5165 S. Amherst Highway from Terry L. Hunter to Dennis M. Figueroa.
Appomattox County saw its highest transaction at $645,000 with the sale of multiple parcels on Kristi Lane from Dale D. Shrock Jr. and Amy Morris Shrock to Kelly Kathleen Lucas Shippey and Daniel Howard Thaddeus Shippey. The next highest was the $185,000 sale of 419 Robinson Road from Forty-Seven VIII LLC to Dylan E. Ferguson.
In Bedford County, the top sale occurred at The Bridgewater Bay Condominium, where Unit B, C-2, Phase 6 was sold by Sharon S. Peebles to Larry S. and Sharon A. May for $850,000. This was followed by the $565,000 purchase of Lot 5, Woodbrook by Clifton Matthew, and Megan Wilkes Coleman from Dawn Cobb Fossness. Another notable sale included Lot 63, Section IV, Lake Vista, sold by Paula J. Milas to Jonathan Joseph and Caitlyn Elizabeth Moreno for $455,000.
Campbell County’s highest recorded transaction was the $561,900 sale of 1627 Country Road from William J. Spriggs and Cynthia Cherkaoui to Jeffrey Horton. Case Enterprises LLC also sold Lot 10 in McCoy Estates to David L. Hurt for $512,500. A third significant sale was the $450,000 purchase of 10170 Wards Road by Lester O. Purnell II from Loretta S. Knight.
Building permits issued in the City of Lynchburg show continued investment in both new development and residential improvement. The highest permits were for new construction:
$195,303 for 255 Jordan Court and $186,174 for 215 Ethan Court, both by Boxwood Investments LLC. The largest renovation-related permit was issued to Islam Saleh for an addition at 208 Colonial Court valued at $130,000. Renovation and repair projects varied in scale but indicate ongoing residential updates across neighborhoods.
