In a game that saw Liberty's starters average just 14 minutes, the Lady Flames' reserves capitalized on their extended playing time to deliver an impressive 109-26 victory over crosstown foe Randolph Wildcats.
Making her collegiate debut, Emmy Stout shined brightest, leading all players with 23 points, 16 rebounds, and 4 steals. Stout’s performance anchored a record-breaking night for Liberty, which set a Liberty Arena single-game scoring record for both men’s and women’s teams with 109 points. The team also drained a program-best 15 three-pointers.
Freshman and local standout Avery Mills, a graduate of LCA, displayed her shooting touch, hitting 5-of-6 three-pointers and matching her career-high with 19 points.
Contributions also came from Pien Steenbergen, Brooke Moore, and Elisabeth Aegisdottir, who all reached double figures in scoring.
While Randolph designated the game as an exhibition, much like Christopher Newport did earlier this season—Liberty’s bench seized the opportunity.
Game Changer: Liberty dominated from the start, outscoring Randolph 27-0 in the first quarter and extending their lead to 31-0 early in the second.
