Leader Molly Hardwick: Clinging to a One-Shot Lead Heading into The Final Round

First round leader Molly Hardwick survived four straight bogies on the front nine to hold on to a one-shot lead going into Tuesday's final round of the 2024 Donna Andrews Invitational at Boonsboro Country Club. After bogeying holes 4-7 Monday, Hardwick was eight shots higher than her Sunday round through the same stretch. Nonetheless, she finished strong on with a one under stretch over the remaining eleven to finish at 75 for the day and -2 for the tournament.

 Former champs Dinunzio and Rogowicz Lurking

It is a crowded leaderboard with eleven players within three shots of the lead including defending champion Becca Dinunzio at -1 and 2021 Champion Jackie Rogowicz at +1; both historically are near the leader board at this event.

Three open division players shot the low rounds of the day at two under including Madison Rizzo, Emily Mathews and Emerson Dever. Rizzo round was relatively consistent with three birdies and one bogey, while Mathews posted four birdies, an eagle, two bogies and one double bogey and Dever also had four birdies along with two bogies.

Recent Winners Top the Senior Division Leaderboard

In the senior division Ohio native Suzi Spotleson takes a two-shot lead into tomorrow after posting a one under 71. Alone in second place is defending champion Kathy Hartwiger at even par. Spotleson posted last year’s low round in the Sr. Division of The Donna with a 68 in round one and went on to place third with a score of even par.

Both players are coming off of highly successful tournament play over the last few years with Spotleson claiming the Ladies National Golf Association Senior in 2023 while Hartwiger was victorious at the North Carolina senior Womens Amateur earlier this month.

As the field gladly traded Sunday's heat and humidity for cooler breezy conditions on Monday, the field concludes Tuesday beginning at 7:30 AM in temperatures of 59 degrees. Pairings and scoring are available with this live scoring link.
