“Grab a beer and pour back into the Lynchburg community"
Saturday, April 26th, in partnership with the band Oceanic, local Lynchburg non-profit ministry Love Heals will be hosting a fun-filled benefit concert at Three Roads Brewery from 9 to 11 pm.
As a believer in the power of collaboration among the local community, Love Heals hopes this will be an opportunity to bring the Lynchburg community around a cause we can all get behind, standing united to bring an end to cancer and in support of all those who have faced a difficult cancer journey of their own. The event hopes to hit a goal of raising $5,000, 100% of which will go towards making a Love Heals butterfly garden, a sanctuary where the Lynchburg community can come together and honor the lives of all those who have felt the devastating impacts of cancer.

For over twenty years, the Awareness Garden has stood as a living story, seeking to bring awareness to the greater Lynchburg community of all those who have been affected by cancer, from victims, their caretakers, and family and friends who have walked with them on their journey. The Butterfly Garden would add an additional area for visitors to enjoy, whether it be runners and families passing by on the Blackwater Creek Trail or even visitors far away looking for a place to relax and feel energized by the deeper meaning and purpose behind the Awareness Garden, which also has incredible impact for the Lynchburg community. Love Heals’ Executive Director Courtney Green shared a motivating rally cry behind the event, “This is more than just a garden, it is a place for the entire Lynchburg community to come together, heal, and honor the lives of those who have been touched by cancer.

With a catchy event tagline encouraging guests to “Grab a beer and pour back into the Lynchburg community, the benefit concert will feature headliner Oceanic, a Charlotte based band that fuses an eclectic mix of pop, rock, synth, and indie music to produce a truly dynamic sound. The band is making stops in Atlanta, Nashville, & Chapel Hill nearby the University of North Carolina in the week leading up to their visit to Three Roads Brewery April 26th, and they have a unique podcast called “In The Van”, detailing intimate, first-hand stories of touring life o the road, lessons learned from the music business, and more!
