On Tuesday, April 22 at 6:30 p.m., Lynchburg City Council will conduct a Budget Public Hearing to receive public feedback and give citizens an opportunity to express their views concerning the Proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Budget. The public hearing will be held before the Lynchburg City Council in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 900 Church Street.
The proposed budget includes funding for General, Schools, Fleet, Airport, Water, Sewer, Stormwater and Other Funds. The purpose of this hearing is to receive citizen input.
The Proposed FY 2026 Operating Budget and FY 2026 - 2030 Capital Improvement Program are available for public review at the Main Public Library, 2315 Memorial Avenue, Lynchburg, Virginia 24501 and online HERE.
All persons are invited to attend the said public hearing to express their views concerning the Proposed FY 2026 Budget for the City of Lynchburg, Virginia. Individuals unable to attend in-person may call and leave a voicemail at 434.455.3998. Voicemails will be taken through the Monday ahead of the public hearing.
