1120 Main St, Lynchburg
Dish is my favorite restaurant downtown and it never disappoints.
The space fits perfectly downtown as its hip, not too big and has low lighting, creating an intimate dining experience.
On one of the blue painted walls hangs local art, plants grow from the top of the high windows and various plates hang on the opposite wall.
Happy hour specials include fries and garlic aioli, fried calamari, hummus, and homemade naan while its regular menu offers rotating small and large plate specials.
A few of my favorite dishes have been the brussel sprouts which are served with honey chili flakes and goat cheese, the gobi Manchurian which is curry fried cauliflower and north Indian chili sauce, but I have also enjoyed the calamari, fries, hummus, mussels, rockfish, and flank steak.
Whether you are looking for some small plates to share among friends while having cocktails or wanting a full meal, Dish has gotten something to offer for everyone. The flavors are innovative and fresh, and I always look forward to checking its Instagram page to find out what the daily specials will be.
