Many Bedford County homeowners are clearing downed trees and limbs from their properties following recent ice storms. To assist with these clean-up efforts, brush collection bins will be available at the following Bedford County waste convenience centers through Saturday, March 1.
- Blackwater—2477 Blackwater Rd., Forest
- Boonsboro—1000 Tamer Ln., Lynchburg
- Chamblissburg—1048 Morgans Mill Rd., Goodview
- Forest—16169 Forest Rd., Forest
- Moneta—12341 Moneta Rd. Moneta
- Montvale—1075 Beale Trail Rd., Montvale
- Otterville—1718 Jopling Rd., Bedford
- Stewartsville—1062 Drewrys Hill Rd., Vinton
- Stone Mountain—1832 Radford Church Rd., Moneta
- Goode—1242 Pilgrim Rd., Goode
The Bedford County Waste Management Facility (1060 Recycle Rd., Bedford) also accepts wood waste year-round. Through March 1, landfill staff will waive any fees associated with winter storm clean-up. Residents should notify the scale house attendant if their wood waste is specifically from the storm clean-up.
